Although we live in a digital world, nothing beats getting a hand written letter in the mail from a close friend. In this exercise, third graders learn the ins and outs of writing a proper friendly letter - from "Dear" to "Sincerely.” They will also practice the digital friendly letter to meet their technology needs.

I used Jing to capture my screen to show students the steps of creating friendly letter via ABCya.com website. They will have to go to ABCya website and write letters to each other.
This interactive activity helps students to learn the five parts of a friendly letter. By following the step by step guide, students can create a letter and then print it.
